The Professional Dog Walkers Association (PDWAI)

www.pdwai.com

The Professional Dog Walkers Association was formed in 1997 by a group of professional dog walkers in the City of Toronto, Ont. Canada. The Professional Dog Walkers at that time discussed a Code of Conduct which was drafted and a limit was set on the number of dogs that a professional dogwalker would walk at one time. The limit was voted on and the decision was unanimous from the those professionals who attended the meetings. The limited number of dogs is six dogs per professional walker.

The Association was formed to make a distinction between those dogwalkers who had already abided by their own Code of Conduct and limit of dogs, and those who did not.

PDWAI has merged with The International Association of Canine Professionals.
